SHOWING THEIR APPRECIATION THROUGH SHOE DONATION – THANK YOU, WSS AND SKECHERS!
Apr 16, 2020 | St. Francis News
St. Francis Medical Center extends its sincere thanks to WSS and Skechers for donating nearly 400 pairs of new shoes to our frontline staff in appreciation for the care they are providing to COVID-19 patients. Their gift of slip-resistant, memory foam footwear is designed for health care professionals who are on their feet all day. The shoes will benefit our teams in the Emergency Department, ICU, Respiratory Therapy, and Admitting.
Tracking her steps, our Emergency Department director said she logged nine miles at work one day, and that was before her day was even over. She affirmed that the new shoes are a wonderful support to their work and spirits.
The donation was accepted by St. Francis Medical Center’s CNO Derek Drake, CFO Terri Pasion, and CEO Eleanor Ramirez who recognized WSS and Skechers for their long-time collaboration with the hospital and city to promote the well-being of patients, staff and residents. Lynwood City Council Member Jose Luis Solache also joined us for the delivery of shoes and commended our three-way partnership which is contributing to the combat of COVID-19 and the cultivation of health and wellness throughout our community.
