Working Nurse Magazine Spotlights SFMC Specialty Nurse Mo Amer
Nov 25, 2019 | St. Francis News
St. Francis Medical Center is proud to have one of its outstanding nurses, Mo Amer, RN, CCRN, spotlighted in the November issue of Working Nurse. Mo is a mobile critical care nurse who was among the 20 RNs featured in the magazine’s “Men In Nursing 2019” annual roundtable, selected for his exemplary nursing skills.
According to Working Nurse, the ratio of male RNs has more than doubled over the past 20 years. As a specialty RN with advanced education and training, Mo is a role model for the future generation of men in nursing, demonstrating the range of options the health care field and a career in nursing offers.
In the roundtable, Mo shares what he loves about being a mobile critical care nurse, a memorable moment in his career, and what nursing has taught him. He also gives some sage advice to up-and-coming nurses and discusses the “key to a successful journey as a male nurse.”
